Brewed coffee provides great depth of flavor in a classic barbecue sauce recipe. Slather it on ribs or chicken at your next cookout!
6oz tomato paste
1 cup brewed coffee, cold or at room temperature (the stronger the better)
¼ cup dark brown sugar, packed
4 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
3 Tbsp pure maple syrup
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp hot sauce, or to taste
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently to avoid burning. . Pour into a jar or container, allow to cool, store in refrigerator.
